This forum has been set up by members of the Scottish War Memorials Project and Scottish War Graves Project who felt that there was other topics they needed to discuss in a forum but were off-topic to those forum.
This new forum is here to help with research and queries relating to all aspects of Scotland's military history from the Picts, Romans, Wars of Independence, The Rough Wooing, Jacobites, Victorian Wars, The World Wars and the wars right up to the conflicts currently ongoing in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Military reserach doesn't need to start in 1914 and end in 1918. This forum is here for people to discuss any topic about Scotland's military history from 84 AD to 2008. You can post a question, post an article or just post some news you have seen that will interest other forum members.
You can visit some of this forum as a guest but you cannot post and messages or replies. If you Register you can see some other parts of this forum where you can post messages.
Once registered as forum member you can then ask to be granted access to restricted access areas such as the air-crash project or...??? where research is freely shared between forum members interested in the same topics.
These restrictions are only in place to stop spammers and plagiarism. Our only aim is the free sharing of information between like-minded individuals.
It doesn't cost anything to register as a member, all we ask is that when you sign-up you fill in as many fields as possible so we know you are not a spammer and can grant you access to the full forum as soon as possible.
Regards
